Why would Apple Pro models Cost INR15000 less in India

Why would Apple's Pro models Cost INR15,000 less in India?

Finance Outlook India Team | Wednesday, 11 September 2024

The most recent iPhone 16 from Apple is available. The iPhone 16 entry-level model will set you back ₹80,000, while the 'Plus' version will set you back ₹90,000. This is because the models will be made in India for the first time.

This time, the Pro variants are priced ₹15,000 less because the device would be manufactured in India. The Union Budget reduced smartphone customs duties by 5%, which resulted in a decrease in the price of imported models.

Additionally, Apple has lowered the cost of the non-Pro iPhone15 models by ₹10,000 to match the price of the iPhone16, which has more capacity but less cutting-edge capabilities like Apple smart AI.

What is the price of Apple's Pro models going to be?

The premium ProMax model of the iPhone 16 Pro will set you back ₹1.45 lakh, while the standard model will set you back ₹1.2 lakh. An entry-level Pro model would set you back ₹84,000 in the US, while a ProMax will set you back ₹1 lakh. However, a mobile operator connection will be included with the gadget in the US. Additionally, US import taxes on devices are far lower.

    When do reservations start?

Model reservations will open on September 13 and the phones will go on sale on September 20.
