Today's stock market: The key Indian equity indexes, the BSE Sensex and Nifty50, had a strong opening session on Friday.
With a rise of 0.25% to 23,627.10, the NSE Nifty 50 set a new record, and the BSE Sensex surged 200 points, or 0.23%, to 77,650.48.
Thursday saw the BSE Sensex reach a new record high of 77,478.9, up 141.34 points, or 0.18%, to continue its winning run for a sixth session. The index gained 305.5 points, or 0.39%, to reach an intraday high of 77,643.09.
The BSE benchmark has increased throughout the last six trading days by 1,022.34 points, or 1.3%.
In addition, the NSE Nifty established a new closing high, finishing at 23,567 after rising by 51 points, or 0.22%. It gained 108 points, or 0.45%, to hit an intraday high of 23,624 during the trading session.
The negative global signals were followed by Asian markets, which saw falls in numerous key indexes. Manila, Taipei, Wellington, Shanghai, Seoul, and Hong Kong are all down. Tokyo, on the other hand, stayed flat, while Singapore, Sydney, and Jakarta managed to slightly rise.
Japan's Nikkei index was down 0.02% at 38,626.95 during the lunch break, and it seemed to be headed for a weekly fall of 0.48%.
Nvidia's scores are lower. The Nasdaq and S&P 500 dropped.
