Together, STEER Engineering , a global leader in advanced materials and extruder technology, and GPS Renewables, a leading full-stack technology and engineering firm specializing in clean fuels, will develop state-of-the-art solutions for the BioCNG industry. This collaboration aims to push innovation and environmentally friendly solutions to the forefront of the sector.
A state-of-the-art 2.5+ tons per hour bio-processor particularly made for agro-residue and biomass feedstocks such paddy straw, mustard stalk, cotton stalk, maize, and Napier grass will be developed by STEER Engineering as part of the agreement. Improved biofuel yields will result from streamlining the pre-conditioning of the biomass and agro-residue feedstocks using STEER's bio-processors.
The cooperative endeavor is to improve feed processing efficiency and total production, offering a strong, 'MADE IN INDIA' solution for the BioCNG business. The newly created processor is ready to transform GPS Renewables' projects as well as the larger biofuel industry. It is painstakingly constructed to enhance performance and decrease lifetime costs.
With an estimated 700 million tonnes of gross agricultural residue and surplus biomass produced annually, India has big plans to use this resource for sustainable energy in the form of biofuels. This innovative project will not only significantly reduce waste but also support energy security, promote sustainable development, and aid the country in its efforts to reduce its oil import bills by up to $30 billion by 2030.
"At STEER, we're on a mission to revolutionize the renewable energy and biofuel industries with our wealth of experience, expertise, and cutting-edge technology. We are developing ground-breaking solutions for a greener and more sustainable future because of our unshakable commitment to innovation and sustainability," stated Nitin Gupta, CEO at STEER Engineering.
The remarkable alignment of our principles regarding effectiveness, durability, and ecological responsibility renders our collaboration with GPS Renewables smooth and advantageous for both parties. He further added, "This partnership is a wonderful fit with our goal of building a greener, more sustainable future for India."
"Our new bio-processor is engineered to optimize performance and reduce lifecycle costs, making it a game-changer for our projects and the broader biofuel landscape. We are enthusiastic about the opportunities that lie ahead and are looking forward to working with Steer Engineering to change the BioCNG environment,” highlighted Mainak Chakraborty, CEO at GPS Renewables, expressing his delight about the partnership with STEER Engineering.
