Prop-tech firm Inkers Technology has raised USD 3 million in a Series A funding round led by Ashish Kasholia of Lucky Investments. The Bengaluru-based startup had previously raised USD 2.03 million from Sailing Stones Technologies and other investors. In a press release, Inkers stated that the revenues will be used to extend its reach and strengthen its product offerings.
Inkers, established by Rohan Shravan, Manish Giri, and Srikanth Kannada, intends to advance the construction industry's digital transformation by addressing fundamental obstacles and allowing long-term growth for infrastructure projects in India and beyond. The company uses computer vision, deep neural networks, hardware-level acceleration, and specific frequency domain encoders to build a comprehensive and integrated video processing pipeline that optimizes incoming data.
According to Inkers, their flagship product, Observance, is an AI-powered platform that processes complicated construction data including point cloud data, photos, BIM models, and project timelines and converts it into actionable insights. It enables speedy and precise translation into Building Information Modeling (BIM), allowing construction teams to proactively anticipate possible difficulties, streamline operations, and save substantial time and money.
Observance provides hyper-accurate as-built 3D models augmented with heat maps, allowing for speedier resolution of BIM conflicts, real-time construction updates, and early detection of structural faults. The technology can scan up to 100,000 square feet of construction area in an hour and produce detailed analytics, as-built models, defect reports, and schedule updates in 24-48 hours.
Inkers claims that its solution has already been deployed at over 150 locations in Bangalore, NCR, Kolkata, Chennai, and Hyderabad, scanning over 250 million square feet of construction space and analyzing more than 2 petabytes of data.
