NR Narayana Murthy, the founder of Infosys, purchased a second apartment in Bengaluru's posh Kingfisher Towers. The opulent apartment, which is priced at Rs 50 crore, has set a new standard for local residential real estate values. The large house is about 8,400 square feet and is located on the sixteenth floor. Along with five reserved parking places, it has four bedrooms.
With an apartment selling for Rs 59,500 per square foot, one of the most expensive prices in the city's busy commercial district, this real estate deal seems to have established a new standard. Until the time of going to print, Murthy did not respond to an email regarding the issue.
In the center of the city are custom residences at Kingfisher Towers at UB City. With 81 units spread across three blocks, it was constructed on a 4.5-acre plot of land. The opulent property is an amazing 34-story building with 81 opulent apartments, each measuring an average of 8,321 square feet. The towers were constructed on the site of Vijay Mallya's ancestral home. In 2010, the Prestige Group and Mallya jointly developed Kingfisher Towers, where Prestige sold its portion of 41 opulent apartments. Apartments were offered at Rs 22,000 per square foot when the project first started.
A Mumbai-based businessman who bought the apartment over ten years ago sold it to Murthy. The seller was represented by Sadhwani Real Estate Holdings of Bengaluru. Reports state that a number of well-known tenants occupied the opulent residence, which saw some sales activity. In the same exclusive residential complex, author and Rajya Sabha member Sudha Murty paid Rs 29 crore for the first apartment on the 23rd level four years ago. Among the other notable proprietors is Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, executive chairperson of Biocon.
Rana George, the son of Karnataka Energy Minister KJ George, purchased an apartment worth Rs 35 crore two years ago. The largest residential transaction in Bengaluru history occurred in 2017, when the Embassy Group sold an apartment to Ajit Prabhu, chairman and CEO of engineering outsourcing firm Quest Global, for Rs 50 crore. Prabhu paid over Rs 31,000 per square foot for the 16,000-square-foot residence in Embassy One, which is close to Hebbal.
