Logistics startup Pickkup has secured $500K in seed funding, with leadership from We Founder Circle (WFC) and additional input from other angel investors.
According to the press release, the startup plans to utilize the funds for increasing its electric fleet, developing its manpower, and bringing in state-of-the-art technology to improve logistics efficiency.
Founded by Ankush Sharma, Chandra Shekhar, and Upma Sharma, Pickkup aims to shake up the logistics industry by putting into operation a 100% electric fleet while marrying it to innovative technologies that maximize delivery efficiency in support of decarbonization efforts. The company is heavily focused on making its mark in the eco-disruptive solutions sector as demand for such solutions increases.
Headquartered in Chandigarh, Pickkup aims to establish a sustainable, tech-focused logistics ecosystem that optimally utilizes fleets while minimizing environmental impact. The Company will seek to maximize the operational hours of its electric vehicle fleet, making them simultaneously economically viable and efficient due to their highly manageable and reasonable running costs.
We Founder Circle was conceived in 2020 mainly to mentor and invest in early-stage startups. It typically invests between $250,000 and $2 million in startups with ambitious goals, sustainability, and a strategic approach. The firm has taken investments worth $50 million across 150-plus deals, with significant investments made in companies like BluSmart, Zypp Electric, Kazam, Gauda Aerospace, Pixxel SpaceTech, and Qpi Quantum Computing.
