The state government has declared a 50 percent increase in the daily and retainer fees for non-cadre legal officers who represent clients in different courts. 1,215 law enforcement officials will gain from the ruling.
The chief minister's office (CMO) reports that 184 new public prosecutors would now get retainer fees of Rs 12,300 instead of Rs 8,200 per day, and that their daily costs will now be Rs 1,875. In addition to a retainer fee rise from Rs 4,000 to Rs 6,000, the daily rates of 740 assistant public prosecutors have been raised from Rs 1,100 to Rs 1,650.
Additionally, the retainer costs of 85 special public prosecutors have increased from Rs 8,200 to Rs 12,300, and their daily rates have increased from Rs 1,250 to Rs 1,875. Likewise, retainer fees for 113 assistant government pleaders and 29 government pleaders have gone up from Rs 8,200 to Rs 12,300.
The compensation for Gana Sikhyaks, who failed the Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET), was also increased by the state government, going from Rs 7,000 to Rs 10,000 each month. After passing the OTET, gana sikhyaks will be hired on a regular basis as "Med" teachers.
Under this group, assistant teachers will also receive a yearly rise. The state's 12,113 gana sikhyaks will profit from the judgment.
