According to Henry Kravis, one of the company's founders, KKR & Co., one of the world's largest private equity firms, is planning to invest another $10 billion in India. Kravis showed enthusiasm for India's economic success and underlined the country's potential for expansion in an interview with ET. He stressed that India is a top priority for KKR since it serves as a foundation for their Asia-Pacific initiatives.
"India is a top priority for us; it serves as the foundation for our Asia-Pacific investments." Japan is also a significant component of what we have. We're not leaving China, therefore those are the cornerstones. "However, India is probably the most important and offers the greatest opportunity," he remarked.
There is a strategy to spend more aggressively in order to capitalize on the country's growing size and economy. Infrastructure, a new priority for KKR, has grown rapidly during the last five years.
According to Kravis, the existing credit company will be extended, and there are discussions about expanding into real estate. Furthermore, he stated that the commitment to the growth equity and private equity sectors remains robust, signaling a continuous investment strategy in these areas.
Kravis praised India's infrastructure developments as well as the present government's pro-business stance. "Obviously, who is elected matters. "I have to say, I'm very impressed with what this government has accomplished," he remarked.
