The Navsari CBG facility is anticipated to generate 44 TPD of biogas using affordable feedstocks, including cane trash, pressmud, rice, and municipal solid waste (MSW). As a result, more than 16,000 tons of biogas are produced annually, according to a statement from Gruner Renewable Energy.
"Gruner Renewable Energy is going to build Asia's largest compressed biogas plant in Navsari, Gujarat, in partnership with a major corporate group. This factory is expected to cost around Rs 220 crore," the statement stated.
According to Gruner Renewable Energy Founder and CEO Utkarsh Gupta, "Opening of plants like Navsari is going to play a critical role in meeting our goals of championing sustainable energy solutions" as India seeks to reduce its dependency on fossil fuels.
He went on to say that the construction of CBG facilities will drastically lower the nation's import expenditure for crude oil.
