Gold Price Today: The price of 24-carat gold fell by Rs 10 in early trade on Monday, with ten kilos of the precious metal trading at Rs 77,660, according to the Good Returns website. The price of silver fell by Rs 100, with one kilogram selling for Rs 96,900.
The price of 22-carat gold also fell by Rs 10, with ten kilos of the yellow metal selling for Rs 71,190. Ten grams of 24-carat gold in Mumbai costs Rs 77,660, which is comparable to pricing in Chennai, Bangalore, Kerala, Pune, Kolkata, and Hyderabad.
In Delhi, ten grams of 24-carat gold cost Rs 77,810, compared to Rs 77,410.
Ten grams of 22-carat gold in Mumbai costs Rs 71,190, the same as it does in Kolkata and Hyderabad. Ten grams of 22-carat gold were priced at Rs 71,340 in Delhi and Rs 71,190 in Bengaluru and Chennai, respectively.
The price of one kilogram of silver in Delhi is Rs 96,900, which is comparable to costs in Kolkata and Mumbai. The price of one kilogram of silver in Chennai was Rs 102,900.
US gold prices fell on Monday as the US dollar rose, as investors waited for more clues on the Federal Reserve's monetary policy course. Spot gold declined 0.4% to $2,646.75 per ounce at 0022 GMT, after climbing 1% the previous day. US gold futures fell 0.5 percent to $2,663.90.
Investors will also be looking for additional clues about the rate outlook in the US retail sales data, which is due later this week.
Spot silver fell 1 percent to $31.21 per ounce. Platinum declined 0.9% to $976.20, while palladium dropped 2.1% to $1,045.87.
