The F&O list includes an array of six small- and mid-cap firms, such as RBL Bank and Aurobindo Pharma, that are part of the portfolio of Quant Mutual Fund.
Sun TV Network, Aditya Birla Retail and Fashion, Steel Authority of India, NALCO, and other stocks from Quant's portfolio are included in the F&O list. There are no price circuit limitations protecting F&O stocks.
Moneycontrol said on June 23 that Sebi had searched and seized Quant Mutual Fund, which is controlled by Sandeep Tandon, with the intention of committing front-running. Hyderabad and Mumbai were the locations of the search and seizure activities.
The mutual fund revealed that it had received queries from Sebi in an email to investors. Additionally, it stated that it will give the regulator all the information and help it needs.
The mutual fund has produced an annualized return of 45% over the last five years, as opposed to a category average of 31% during the same period. The fund returned 69 percent over the last year compared to the category average of 55 percent.
With an AUM of Rs 20,000 crore, Quant Mutual Fund manages the third-largest small-cap fund in the nation.
