Following the time imposed by the Supreme Court, the Election Commission has posted comprehensive information on electoral bonds on its website, derived from the State Bank of India (SBI). According to the data, a number of well-known businesspeople and businesses, including steel magnate Lakshmi Mittal, Sunil Bharti Mittal of Airtel, Vedanta, ITC, and Mahindra & Mahindra, purchased electoral bonds.
Furthermore, Future Gaming and Hotel Services, a lesser-known company that is presently being investigated by the Enforcement Directorate, turned out to be a noteworthy purchaser of electoral bonds with a value of more than Rs 1,350 crore.Among the known corporates, Agarwal's Vedanta Ltd bought Rs 398 crore worth of bonds, while Sunil Mittal's three companies together purchased a total of Rs 246 crore worth of bonds.
Lakshmi Niwas Mittal, a steel billionaire, purchased bonds for Rs 35 crore on his own. Megha Engineering, located in Hyderabad, has purchased bonds totaling Rs 966 crore. The company has won contracts for several significant infrastructure projects.
BJP, Congress, AIADMK, BRS, Shiv Sena, TDP, YSR Congress, DMK, JD-S, NCP, Trinamool Congress, JDU, RJD, AAP, the Samajwadi Party, Jammu and Kashmir National Conference, BJD, Goa Forward Party, Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party, Sikkim Krantikari Morcha, JMM, Sikkim Democratic Front, and the Jana Sena Party are among the parties that have redeemed electoral bonds.
