Resilience AI, a climate risk and sustainability technology company, raised USD 1 million in a seed round lead by Kalaari Capital's CXXO initiative, which invests in startups led by female entrepreneurs. Java Capital participated in the round as well.
The funds will be used to fund the development of Resilience360, which will provide end-to-end climate risk management solutions to both commercial and public enterprises. In addition, the business intends to co-develop solutions with its customers, broaden market access, and foster research-based innovation.
Resilience360, founded by Samhita R, tackles the need for a proactive approach to climate resilience, allowing organizations to plan for extreme weather events such as heatwaves, floods, cyclones, landslides, and earthquakes.
The platform uses machine learning and deep climate analytics to generate hyperlocal risk maps, automated climate risk diagnoses, and institutionalized climate action plans that incorporate sustainability and climate risk criteria.
The platform's flagship product, Resilience360, provides hyperlocal climate risk baseline and mapping; Plan, which allows for the development of tailored risk controls; Action, which focuses on the implementation and reporting of climate measures; and Scale, which facilitates ongoing monitoring and the expansion of adaptation strategies.
