Carborundum Universal Ltd, an abrasives manufacturer, reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 37.61 crore for the October-December 2024 quarter, the company announced.
The city-based company earned a net profit of Rs 111.98 crore in the same quarter last year.
The Murugappa Group company said in a statement on Friday that its net profit for the nine-month period ending December 31, 2024 was Rs 268.61 crore, compared to Rs 333.62 crore the previous year.
Compared to the same quarter last fiscal year, when it was Rs 1,165 crore, the consolidated total income for the current quarter was Rs 1,271.83 crore.
Consolidated total income for the nine-month period ending December 31, 2024, was Rs 3,711.84 crore, up from Rs 3,565.11 crore during the same period in the previous fiscal year.
According to the company, during the first nine months of the current fiscal year, it spent Rs 202 crore on capital expenditures at a consolidated level, compared to Rs 154 crore during the same period last year.
The Board of Directors announced at its meeting on Thursday that it would pay its shareholders an interim dividend of Rs 1.50 per share, or 150 percent of the face value of Rs1.
