The stock exchanges have issued the official holiday calendar for 2025. The festivities begin with Mahashivratri on Wednesday, February 26, followed by Holi on Friday, March 14. Id-Ul-Fitr (Ramzan Id) will take place on Monday, March 31, and Shri Mahavir Jayanti on Thursday, April 10. The following week has Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar Jayanti on Monday, April 14, and Good Friday on Friday, April 18.
Maharashtra Day will be marked on Thursday, May 1. Independence Day is on Friday, August 15, while Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated on Wednesday, August 27. Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti/Dussehra is celebrated on Thursday, October 2, followed by Diwali - Laxmi Pujan on Tuesday, October 21, and Diwali Balipratipada on Wednesday, October 22. Christmas, on Thursday, December 25, and Prakash Gurpurb Sri Guru Nanak Dev, on Wednesday, November 5, are the year's last holidays.
