Amit Ganorkar has been named CEO and Managing Director of TATA AIG General Insurance company, announced in a statement on Friday.
With the Board of Directors' permission, Ganorkar succeeded Neelesh Garg and officially assumed leadership on January 1, 2025.
"Amit Ganorkar has been appointed as the new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of TATA AIG General Insurance Company, a prominent general insurance provider," the firm stated in a statement.
"A seamless transfer of responsibilities has been ensured by the acquisition of all required regulatory approvals," it continued.
With an emphasis on product development as well as crucial areas like sales and distribution, Ganorkar has more than 20 years of experience in the general insurance industry. He was the managing director of Royal Sundaram General Insurance before this. Ganorkar was also the Chief Operating Officer at TATA AIG.
"We experienced a CAGR rise of almost 44% in the retail health front during the last five years. We anticipate at least 30% growth from here over the next three years," Pratik Gupta, Senior Executive Vice President and Head of the Agency stated. He went on to say that roughly 21% of their premium is currently covered by their entire health portfolio.
