Chairman of the Adani Group Gautam Adani has entered the retail finance market with the launch of a credit card in partnership with ICICI Bank. In a saturated Indian market, the collaboration will face off against rivals like the Tata, Reliance, and Aditya Birla companies.
The entrepreneur has introduced the credit card with airport-linked advantages in partnership with Visa through his group's digital platform Adani One and ICICI Bank. Up to 7% reward points will be awarded to cardholders for purchases made inside the Adani Group ecosystem.
Among these is the Adani One app, which allows reservations for hotels, trains, buses, and taxis in addition to flights. Adani energy bills, Adani CNG pumps, and spending at airports under Adani management are all addressed.
Gautam Adani's ambition coincides with Reliance Industries, the company owned by Mukesh Ambani, announcing ambitious aspirations to enter the financial services industry. A co-branded credit card was introduced by SBI and Ambani's retail division on the RuPay payment network last year.
Additionally, Aditya Birla Group and SBI and AU Small Finance Bank co-brand credit cards.
